Quincy, Ill. (KHQA) — Individuals can now register for a complimentary cholesterol screening on November 14.
Blessing Health is sponsoring the cholesterol screening, which will take place on Thursday, November 14, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Blessing Resource Center, located at 420 North 34th Street in Quincy.
Participants must schedule an appointment and fast for 12 hours before the test. To register, visit the website, call 217.277.5000, or visit the Blessing Resource Center in person.
The screening will assess several key health indicators in the blood, including:
LDL (often referred to as “bad” cholesterol)
HDL (known as “good” cholesterol)
Total cholesterol
Triglycerides (a type of fat)
Blood glucose (sugar)
These test results are crucial for evaluating an individual’s current heart health and assessing the risk for heart disease and diabetes.
