Helena Beer, editor of Hospital Healthcare Europe and Hospital Pharmacy Europe, moderated the discussion with three expert clinicians: David Kiely, a consultant respiratory physician and professor at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; Colm McCabe, a respiratory consultant specializing in pulmonary hypertension; and Heba Nashat, a consultant cardiologist at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
The session, recorded on December 2, 2024, addressed several key topics. The panelists explored the challenges of diagnosing pulmonary hypertension and highlighted the importance of imaging technology in this process. They also discussed how to effectively integrate treatment plans from both cardiology and pulmonology specialties to enhance patient care.
